1st Shift - Plant Services Technician

Purpose:                     Perform general maintenance on the buildings such as repairing HVAC and plumbing, installing, and moving machines, and miscellaneous duties.

Hours:                        7:00am to 3:00pm with a 20-minute paid lunch.

 

Essential functions:

  1. Operate lift trucks of all types.
  2. Operate man lift & work overhead 30’ to 40’.
  3. Reading & effectively using electrical diagrams.
  4. Reading & effectively using plumbing diagrams.
  5. Drive a vehicle with capacity of less than 26,000 GBW for the purpose of delivering goods to specific locations.
  1. Pass licensing requirements and have ability to be approved by Allied Moulded Products Inc. insurance carrier.
  2. Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  1. Perform general carpentry functions.
  2. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  3. Perform preventative maintenance on all types of equipment.
  4. Building work or repairs.

Mental / Visual Requirement:

Part-time normal and part-time concentrated attention and coordination required using tools to maintain Allied’s facilities. Ability to communicate to employees and Supervisor. Ability to read and understand machine manuals, diagrams, etc. to determine proper set up and preventive maintenance.

 

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift boxes of supplies using hand carts, pallet jack, and lift truck. Boxes of supplies weighing up to 100 pounds with help.

 

Other Items:

  1. Must wear steel-toed boots.
  2. Must bring own tools for this position. A list of required tools will be given to the successful applicant.

 

Education / Experience:

Should have a high school diploma or GED.

1st Shift CAD Operator

Purpose:                     Under general direction, perform functions to utilize Solid Works CAD system to develop layouts and drawings for the planning and building of machine projects, plant layouts. Build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better and be a part of a design team. Work with preventive maintenance activities.

 

Essential functions with indication of % of performance time:

  1. Use the CAD system to develop drawings as needed. To detail electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings to Allied Moulded standards.
  2. Work with assembling, testing, prototyping, and researching various ideas.
  3. Research purchased components needed for a project to be included in documentation.
  4. Use the computer to produce and maintain parts list and maintenance manuals.
  5. Keep the CAD system properly maintained.
  6. Maintain the Engineering drawing files.
  7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Mental/Visual Requirements:

Concentrated attention and coordination required to analyze product drawings, review applications, and use computer aided drafting and design system to create and develop solid models, detailed drawings, and designs. Must understand tolerances and tolerance stack-up and acquire an understanding of Allied Moulded’s manufacturing processes and product requirements.

 

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift, carry and move parts and equipment in the process of evaluation of work.

 

Education/Experience:

Two-year degree in an engineering discipline with Solid Works CAD system training or equivalent experience in an engineering environment. Excellent communication skills required and ability to deal with a variety of personalities and situations. Must demonstrate a good business sense and a willingness to learn. Must show initiative and motivation to follow projects to completion.

2nd Shift Fiberglass Press Operator

2nd, and 3rd Shift - Process Equipment Operator

Purpose:                     Operate processing machine efficiently while maintaining production requirements.

 

Essential functions:

  1. Ability to operate processing machine efficiently while maintaining the standard rate.
  2. Ability to perform routine maintenance (such as tap changing, dislodging nails, etc.) and quality assurance checks as required.
  3. Ability to record inventory information in a timely and accurate manner.
  4. Ability to prepare processing machine for the next shift by replenishing supplies and maintaining good housekeeping in assigned work area.
  5. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  6. Build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better.

 

Mental/Visual Requirements:

Normal and concentrated attention and coordination required to operate processing machine.  Must possess good dexterity skills.  Must be able to complete process tags and perform simple math.  Ability to adapt to meet changing production needs.

 

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.  Ability to lift and move baskets of parts and boxes of supplies using handcarts and pallet jacks.  Boxes of supplies may weigh up to 50 pounds.

 

Education/Experience:

Applicant should possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.  Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

2nd Shift - Maintenance Technician

Purpose:                     Troubleshoot and repair machinery to maintain production flow.

 

 

Essential functions:

  1. Ability to maintain machinery requiring hydraulic, electrical, and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repair in an industrial setting to maintain production requirements. Ability to use hand tools.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  3. Ability to do light fabrication, MIG weld, and use a torch.
  4. Operation of all lift trucks, pallet mules, man lifts, and walkie cranes.
  5. Build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better.
  6. Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Mental / Visual Requirement:

Continuous mental and visual requirements when operating lift trucks and when servicing machinery to maintain equipment properly and safely.  Ability to communicate to employees and Supervisor.  Ability to read and understand machine manuals, diagrams, etc. to determine proper set up and preventative maintenance.  Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints.

 

Physical Demands:

Standing/walking most of shift.  Ability to lift boxes of supplies using hand carts, pallet jack, lift truck, or other type of assistance. Boxes of supplies may weigh up to 100 pounds.

 

Education / Experience:

Should have High school diploma or GED.

2nd Shift - NEMA Molder

Purpose:                     Operate press(es) in order to produce a quality part in a reasonable amount of time.

 

Essential functions with indication of % of performance time:

 

  1. Run and maintain assigned press. Remove molded parts from polycarbonate press, cut sprue off, and check for quality.  (30%)
  2. Responsible for start up of press assigned. (10%)
  3. Able to identify & correct any press problems as they occur. (10%)
  4. Keep press logs up to date with accurate information (press settings, adjustments,material formulations, etc.). (10%)
  5. Use quality plans & boards, pin gauges, etc. (5%)
  6. Use tools provided (hammer, pick, pry bar, putty knife, etc.). (5%)
  7. Clean the inside of hot molds on a regular basis. (10%)
  8. Read and interpret heat layouts and quality plans. (5%)
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned. (10%)
  10. Build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better. (5%)

High school diploma, GED or one year equivalent experience.  Should have some experience operating computerized equipment.

2nd Shift NEMA, Stockhandler

2nd and 3rd Shift Koops Operator

Purpose:                     Support the needs of the business through conscientious application of their abilities to provide production efficiencies and troubleshooting support on the Koops equipment.

 

Essential functions:

  1. Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  2. Keep nail hoppers loaded and correct any line stoppage regarding the nailing process.
  3. Restart any line stoppages due to sensor failure or dirty sensors.
  4. Provide on-the-job training to others in the shop when needed.
  5. Perform quality checks on the finished jobs as needed. Make sure all the work has been done and documented correctly.
  6. Provide Supervisor with feedback on daily assignments as requested.
  7. Fix any jams in the vibrator bowls so the feed to work center is not interrupted.
  8. Coordinate with pressroom when work center is down to re-direct moldings to crates.
  9. Reset any faults in the work center.
  10. Reset all the robots when faults occur. (Training must be completed so proper processes for the robots are followed)
  11. Communicate issues within teams and across shifts to ensure a safe and high-performing work area.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
  13. Lead by example to build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better.

Purpose:                      To maintain production requirements and keep department operating effectively.

 

 

Essential functions:

  1. Ability to perform stock duties as needed in Flexbox production area including operating lift truck in a safe manner to move material, as required, throughout the plant; maintaining a constant flow of material to the operator and removing processed parts from the machines; palletizing cartons on skids and moving to appropriate areas; maintaining tape machines; supplying and labeling cartons for operators.
  2. Supply presses with material and remove crates of parts when full.
  3. Perform SPC and carton checks.
  4. Supply NEMA presses with material and remove full skids.
  5. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  6. Build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better.

 

Mental/Visual Requirements:

Continuous mental and visual requirements when operating lift truck.  Must be able to read process tags and recognize a variety of parts.  Must know sequence of machining processes.  Lift Truck License required.  Ability to communicate to employees and Supervisor.  Ability to get along well with people with many different personalities.  Normal and concentrated attention and coordination required to operate processing machines.  Must possess good dexterity skills.  Must be able to complete process tags and perform simple math.  Ability to adapt to meet changing production needs.

Standing/walking most of the shift.  Moderate to heavy physical labor required to lift and move baskets and cartons of parts.  Ability to use and maintain equipment such as tape machine, stapler, etc.  Ability to lift and move baskets of parts and boxes of supplies using hand carts, pallet jack, and lift truck.  Boxes of supplies may weigh up to 50 lbs.

 

Education/Experience:

Should have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2nd and 3rd Shift Shipping and Receiving

3rd Shift NEMA Molder

Essential functions with indication of % of performance time:

  1. Ability to operate high volume machines in processing efficiently while maintaining the standard rate. (50%)
  2. Ability to perform Stock 1 duties as needed in processing area including operating lift truck in a safe manner to move material, as required, throughout the plant; maintaining a constant flow of material to the operator and removing processed parts from the machines; palletizing cartons on skids; operation and maintenance of tape machines; supplying cartons to operators; etc. (30%)
  3. Ability to perform RGA , vapor seal checks, and packaged carton checks. (10%)
  4. Perform other related duties as assigned. (5%)
  5. Build constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better. (5%)
