These core beliefs have fueled generations of builders and problem-solvers across the nation, and these same values have been at the heart of Allied Moulded Products since it began in a small garage in 1958.
An engineer by trade with an entrepreneurial spirit, our founder, Paul Troder, laid the foundation for what would become a trusted American manufacturing company. Armed with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality, Troder, saw an opportunity to create a better outlet box. He worked nights and weekends out of his garage west of Bryan, OH, producing fiberglass outlet boxes designed to solve real-world challenges many farmers faced across the Midwest when dealing with rust and corrosion.
While other manufacturers thought the fiberglass material was too dirty, sticky, and hard to handle, Troder recognized the advantages of the material and found quick success in the Midwest, where metal electrical boxes in chicken and cattle barns often failed due to corrosion from the ammonia. In contrast, Allied Moulded’s fiberglass boxes stood strong, offering durability that contractors and farmers could depend on. As word spread from regional farms to larger markets, demand grew, and so did the company.
